On Fire for BOGNER

Success with the B

BOGNER has been dressing the German national ski team every winter since 1952. Wearing functional BOGNER outfits with the ‘B’ logo, the DSV team has celebrated numerous successes in World Cup, World Championship and Olympic races. It all started with the four medals won by Ossi Reichert and Annemarie Buchner in Oslo in 1952, and Reichert’s great slalom gold in 1956. Four years later, three Germans stood on the podium, among them Heidi Biebl with gold for the downhill run. Willy Bogner Jr, however, was unlucky not to make the slalom victory. In 1964, Wolfgang Bartels won bronze in the downhill race. After a short dry spell, Rosi Mittermaier hit back all the harder in 1976. Two gold medals, and one silver! Irene Epple, Christa Kinshofer, Marina Kiehl and Frank Wörndl won the medals in the 1980s. Since 1992, when the BOGNER flames first embellished the DS racing suits, Katja Seizinger, Markus Wasmeier, Hilde Gerg, Martina Ertl, Maria Höfl-Riesch and Viktoria Rebensburg have raced their way to podium places. And most recently, the DSV team has rejoiced over the Kitzbühel victory of Thomas Dreßen in 2018 and Josef Ferstl in 2019, Felix Neureuther’s WM bronze medal in 2017, and the series of silver medals won by Kira Weidle, Andreas Sander and Romed Baumann at the World Championships in 2021. To B continued!
