The Stretch Pants Were Only the Beginning

Innovation is a tradition here. In the 2020/21 season, BOGNER dressed the German national ski team for the 68th time in a row. With their technical four-way stretch fabric and high-quality PrimaLoft® Gold insulating down, the outfits made for Thomas Dreßen and his teammates stand in a long line of innovations that have taken the DSV team from one victory to the next ever since 1952. Among the first design ideas were the stretch wedge trousers by Maria Bogner, in which Ossi Reichert won the giant slalom gold medal in 1956. In 1960, the athletes wore quilted anoraks for the first time - excellently insulated thanks to the air pockets and a real BOGNER hallmark ever since! In 1976, Willy Bogner Jr took over the design and sent Rosi Mittermaier to double gold in a divisible stretch overall. In 1980, Christa Kinshofer raced at Lake Placid in the first ski jet pants with knee padding to win the slalom silver. We could carry on with this list of innovations – the day that the DSV team outfits appear in the fall every year is a date they mark in red in their calendars and wait for with eager anticipation!
